JOB : Operations Executive

Our client is one of the leading shipping Company in Kuwait.

Reporting to the Manager, the main responsibility of the position is to provide Back office support to Marine & Offshore operations in Kuwait & Iraq.

  • The incumbent will also be responsible to ensure that all jobs are done in accordance with ISO & other relevant ISS policies & procedures. He will also utilize YourISS2 as per Standard Operating Procedures

    Key Accountabilities:


    Compliance to Operational Excellence: To coordinate all Marine & off-shore service operations and documentation such that they are in compliance with ISO 9001 2000, POPDA procedures, Procurement policy and HSSE manual of the company. Monitor services with a view that the ISS code of excellence is practiced. He will also utilize YourISS2 as per Standard Operating Procedures


    Excellence in customer service: Identify, understand and meet customer needs by demonstrating high level of commitment and applying maximum efforts to achieve results to the highest quality standards thus maintaining and exceeding customer satisfaction. Applying promptly corrective actions to the service failures and ensuring that they do not reoccur in the future.   


    Revenue Generation: To boost revenue generation by tapping opportunities, market leads and to covert this leads into new business.


    Customer / Vendor Relationship. Establish and maintain effective formal and informal links with major customers, key-decision-makers and other stakeholders generally, to exchange information and views and to ensure that the company is providing the appropriate range and quality of services. Maintain an awareness of customer requirements and any complaints to identify any areas that may need development or improvement.


    Market Intelligence. Maintain awareness of developments across the industry and communicating the market research to the department to ensure that the department continues to apply the most effective policies and approaches. Monitor competitor activity and ensure that the appropriate responses are developed to any perceived threats to business. Analyse trends in the business environment, help to develop products / services that are responsive to the market demands and identify new market opportunities.


    Effective Team Player: As part of job profile, the candidate will be required to extensively communicate with personnel inside & outside the organization. He will have to display high degree of team coordination and ensure that operations are completed as per client’s requirement as well as relevant ISS guidelines & procedures.


    Reporting: Provide input into monthly reporting of Marine & Off- shore Operations, which covers Analysis of Port Calls, DA Analysis, Pre-funding Review, Data Integrity, POPDA, ISS-QMS, etc.

    Debt Control. Ascertaining the financial aspect of the business is smoothly running in place and competently managed by evaluating timeliness of client’s payment.


    The post holder will carry out any other duties as are within the scope and purpose of the job as requested by the Line Manager and ensure full utilization of all ISS systems according to Standard Operating Procedures

    Candidate Profile: • Good knowledge of Shipping Business in general and operations in particular. • With proven business acumen and strong people management skills. • Good Customer Services and Sales skills. • Knowledge of ISO • Arabic speaking and writing skills • Proficient in standard PC Business software • University graduate with good analytical as well as written and communication skills. • Course in Shipping
