Job Description
Reports to: Senior Landscape Architect
Department: Architecture
Location: Kuwait
Employment Type: Full-time
  Job Summary: Responsible for designing landscape drawings for all project types; with particular emphasis on innovation and aesthetics, whilst ensuring that the changes to the natural environment are appropriate, sensitive and sustainable.
 Key Responsibilities:
Policies & Procedures
- Implement and comply with the Architectural department & company’s set policies and procedures.
Project Management Activities
- Analyze the natural environment of the site with regards to the landscape requirements, this may include (but is not limited to):
–Â Â Â Â Soil, slope of the land, drainage, and vegetation
–Â Â Â Â Existing buildings, roads, walkways, and utilities
–Â Â Â Â Layout of athletic amenities
–Â Â Â Â Reference to codes and standards
–Â Â Â Â Other related landscape requirements
- Engage with senior architects, infrastructure and project managers to stablish general landscape requirements and confer with them to determine the factors affecting planning landscape sites, such as: architectural preferences, purpose and function.
- Assist in preparation of preliminary designs to address the needs of the client after studying and analyzing the site.
- Assist in development of detailed site plans, reports, working drawings, models and other specifications for the project in collaboration with the design team.
- Outline the mode of construction for the projects in detail and list planting, soft-scape and hard-scape materials required.
- Able to read and implement from electro-mechanical drawings and requirements to the design of the landscape.
- Monitor the design of a variety of projects and maintain the character of sites of natural beauty and ensuring deadlines are met;
- Monitor the design and preparation of measurements, base drawings, digital imagery and color, material and plant selections.
- Coordinate with other departments regarding any modifications needed to take place within the design.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Senior Landscape Architect, Lead & Design Architects.
Span of Communication
- Internal: Departments (Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Infrastructural, etc), Statutory authority’s liaison & Senior Landscape Architect, Lead & Design Architects.
Candidate Profile:
- Requirement open for all Nationals
- Bachelor Degree in Landscape, Architecture, Horticulture or related field
- Relevant experience (typically 6+ years) in Landscape design
- Required KSE Membership
- Architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up)
- Professional Certifications and Affiliations:
- Member of Kuwait Society for Engineers
- Accreditation in Landscape or other relevant certifications can be advantageous
