Job Description

Job Summary: The Head of Operations will be responsible for establishing, leading, and optimizing all operational processes and procedures within the company. This pivotal role requires extensive experience in managing high-volume trade operations and a comprehensive understanding of the investment industry, particularly within stock exchanges such as the Kuwait Stock Exchange. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial operations, including transaction processing (transfers, withdrawals, deposits, currency exchange), client account management, and compliance. Additionally, a solid grasp of technology is essential to effectively collaborate with internal and external tech teams on system integrations, requirement gathering, and reviewing technical submissions.

 Key Responsibilities: 

  • Process Development and Implementation:
  1. Design, document, and implement comprehensive operational processes and procedures to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across all functions.
  2. Continuously assess and refine operations workflows to enhance productivity and mitigate risks.
  • Transaction Management:
  1. Oversee all aspects of transaction processing, including trade executions, fund transfers, withdrawals, deposits, and currency exchanges, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  2. Develop and enforce controls to monitor transaction activities and promptly address any discrepancies.
  • Client Account Management:
  1. Establish procedures for client onboarding, information updates, and account maintenance, ensuring a seamless and secure client experience.
  2. Collaborate with compliance to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Technology Collaboration:
  1. Work closely with internal and external technology teams to define system requirements, oversee integrations, and review technical deliverables.
  2. Leverage technology to automate processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Risk Management and Compliance:
  1. Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard the company’s assets and reputation.
  2. Ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  1. Build and lead a high-performing operations team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  2. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability within the team.

 Stakeholder Communication: 

  1. Serve as the primary liaison between operations and other departments, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  2. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • Requirement open for all nationals
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in operations management within the investment or financial services industry, with a focus on high-volume trade environments.
  • In-depth understanding of investment products, trading platforms, and stock exchange operations, particularly within the Kuwait Stock Exchange.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the financial services sector.
