Department: Sales

Reports To: Business Unit Manager

 

Job Summary: Responsible for directing and leading the Sales and Bidding and Tendering activities including developing Sales Strategies, managing bid selection, pre-qualification procedure and the estimation / quotation process, along with the analysis of results and reporting in order to attract and retain customers by identifying, interpreting the market needs and in order to achieve or exceed Specialized Technical & Services Company’s objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Formulation:

  • Develop strategic objectives and KPIs for the Sales Department in line with the company’s strategy and ensure that the Department’s employees are working towards the achievement of these objectives.
  • Review the operating results of the Sales Department and follow-up to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct insufficient results.

 

Budget & Cost Control:

  • Develop the Sales Department’s annual budget and ensure all employees are working within the assigned budget by setting the required targets and responsibilities.

 

Policies & Procedures:

  • Develop and ensure the implementation of the Sales Department’s established policies and procedures and comply with the company’s other policies.
  • Administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.

 

Sales Activities:

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans, sale plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services in line with Specialized Technical & Services Company Business needs.
  • Develop and manage sales/marketing operating budgets and ensure set budgets are adhered to.
  • Plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
  • Develop and recommend product & Services positioning, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share, and best possible profit margins for Specialized Technical & Services Company.
  • Achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards, industry and economic trends, in order to meet Specialized Technical & Services Company Business needs.
  • Ensure effective control of marketing results, and take corrective action to guarantee that the achievement of the marketing objectives fall within designated budgets.

  • Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions, ensuring that Specialized Technical & Services Company stay ahead of the competition.
  • Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities and the company’s competitive advantage within the market.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners to further the company’s business needs.
  • Guide preparation of marketing activity reports in order to present to the Executive Management.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly, in line with Specialized Technical & Services Company Policies & Procedures.
  • Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.
  • Direct market channel development activity and coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
  • Represent Specialized Technical & Services Company at trade association meetings to promote product.
  • Meet with key clients, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships, negotiating and closing deals.
  • Coordinate and liaison between the Sales Department and other Sales Related Units to maximize utilization the company’sSales Resources.
  • Analyze and control expenditures of Department to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Assist other departments within the organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
  • Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Review and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
  • Directs product research and development.
  • Perform ad-hoc and other duties related to the job as assigned by the Direct Manager.

 

Continuous Improvement:

  • Investigate, manage inputs and recommend action to be taken when there are weaknesses in internal controls, or compliance issues with set policies and procedures.

 

People Management:

  • Identify manpower requirements and Coordinate with the Human Resources & Administration Department on all recruiting activities.
  • Conduct annual employee performance appraisal of employees, ensuring employee career development and motivation.
  • Recommend salary adjustments, rewards and promotions based on employee performance.
  • Carry out disciplinary meetings whenever deemed necessary.
  • Ensure the training needs of employees are identified and recommend relevant training initiatives that will assist in building a highly professional and knowledgeable workforce.

Reports:

 

  • Review and present reports on budget activity, including identification of potential problems and recommendations for corrective action, forecasts trends and make recommendations.
  • Prepare and submit reports on a regular basis to top management that cover all the Sales and Bidding & Tendering activities.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • Requirement open for Bilingual Candidates
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration would be an advantage
  • Solid experience in Oil & Gas and MEW sectors, along with the ability to identify new service opportunities.
  • Minimum of 12– 14 years of experience in the same or related field
  • Sales experience in multi-unit and multi-geographic locations would be an advantage
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic languages.
