Job Description

Job Summary:

 

The Deputy Resident Engineer (MEP) will be one of the senior staff members managing the Supervision of the Project. In particular, he will be in charge of all MEP Engineers and inspectors that will carry out field supervision in addition to reviewing shop drawings and contractor’s submittals for all Electro-Mechanical works.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise the Chief Resident Engineer in all aspects of the Contractor’s work progress, quality and contract administration, respective to their disciplines.
  • Supervise the performance of the Contractor and enforce the provisions of the contracts on all architectural matters.
  • Ensure the Contractor’s plant, equipment and materials are adequate.
  • Ensure the work is progressing as scheduled and is compliant with the latest drawings and specifications.
  • Enforce and monitor safety rules and regulations.
  • Provide clarifications on drawings and specifications as and when required by the Contractor.
  • Oversee the checking of Contractor’s shop drawings for corrections and give/recommend approval.
  • Oversee daily records of work progress, labor force, equipment and Contractor’s performance. Submit information required and assist the Chief Resident Engineer in the preparation of regular progress reports for submission to Client
  • Inspect and for approval as appropriate, the specified and/or substitute and/or ‘equal and approved’ materials submitted by the Contractor.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • Requirement open for Western Expats, East Europeans
  • Project Duration 18 months
  • Bachelor’s or Masters in their relative field
  • Experience: Minimum of 20 years after University Graduation
