Job Summary: The Associate Advisor – Accounting Advisory Services is responsible and accountable for assisting the Advisors & Senior Advisors in performing day-to-day processing of our clients’ accounting transactions through handling various responsibilities such as: preparing bank reconciliation statements, analyzing general ledger accounts, performing journal entries as well as uploading important information in the accounting system in line with company’s accounting policies & procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
ï‚· Policies & Procedures
• Implement the approved policies & processes of the Accounting Advisory Services Department and comply with the Company’s other policies throughout all daily activities
ï‚· Accounting Advisory Operations:
• Take part in onboarding sessions held by Senior Advisors and Advisors to understand the workflow, policies and work procedures to get aware of the resources involved in the work as well as fully understand the business objectives, requirements and your role.
• Provide maximum accounting support to the Advisors & Senior Advisors by performing all the assigned tasks in all daily accounting requirements in compliance with the set standards and accounting policies & procedures of the company.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements in compliance with the company’s accounting & financial guidelines as well as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Assist in uploading daily sales transactions, invoices and receipts received from the clients in the Accounting System and ensure that all transactions are being posted and recorded with maximum accuracy & efficiency.
• Prepare and enter direct journal entries on behalf of the clients related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, etc. to the General Ledger accounts and obtain approval from the Direct Manager.
• Inform and follow-up with the Direct Manager if reconciliation between General Ledger accounts and subsidiary ledgers are not reconciled, in addition to recording all adjusting, closing and reversing entries to attain reconciliation in such cases (after obtaining approval of the Direct Manager).
• Assist in preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, income and expense reports, and cash flow analysis, in addition to the supporting schedules to assure timely completion according to the monthly close schedule in coordination with the Senior Advisors & Advisors.
• Conduct meetings with the company’s clients on a continuous basis and as required to obtain information regarding the clients’ business requirements, nature of services requested as well as to collect initial requirements from the clients to kick-off the project.
• Ensure timely posting of sub-ledgers and all period end transactions in accordance with the month end closing procedures.
• Perform any other tasks & additional responsibilities as assigned by the Direct Manager.
ï‚· Reports
• Assist in the Advisors & Senior Advisors in preparation of all/any reports that may be required by the client (as needed).
Candidate Profile:
ï‚· Requirement Arab Nationals
ï‚· Minimum of 0 – 2 years of experience in the same or related field.
ï‚· Good knowledge of International Accounting standards & principles and Microsoft Excel skills is a must.
ï‚· Medium to Intermediate knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
